Seal of Biliteracy for High School Diplomas
Cherry Creek Schools will grant a Seal of
Biliteracy Diploma to graduating high school students who:
- Complete the required 22 credits
- Meet both English and Math Career/College Readiness (CCR) benchmarks
- Attain proficiency or higher in one or more world languages
- Attain proficiency or higher in English
- Submit this application to their school administrator by the deadline.
Minimum Proficiency Requirements
(Must Meet Both)
English
Earn at minimum 3.0 GPA in the 4.0 credits of English required to graduate,
AND complete one of the listed requirments below:
- SAT - Score 470+ on EBRW
- ACT - Score 25+ on both English and Reading
- AP English Lang/Comp or AP English Lit/Comp - Score 3+ on exam
- IB English A, English Literature A, or English A1 - Score 4+ on exam
World Language
Complete one of the listed requirements below:
- AP World Language Exam - Score 3+
- IB World Language Exam - Score 4+
- Achieve a 3.0 GPA in a 4-year high school course of study of a single World Language
- Achieve a passing score on nationally recognized test*
